World’s first charter flights on CS300

Tour operator says plane will bring improvements
Tour operator Tez Tour and the Latvian airline airBaltic have jointly launched the world’s first charter flights with Bombardier CS300 aircraft. The airline recently became the launch customer for the Canadian manufacturer’s new aircraft type.
For the summer season, charter flights using the planes will connect Latvia’s capital Riga with Antalya (Turkey), Heraklion (Greece), Burgas (Bulgaria) and Rimini (Italy). Tez plans more than 200 flights to these destinations this summer with the CS300.
“All our charter flights will be operated with the latest and most comfortable airBaltic aircraft,” said Konstantins Palgovs, general manager of Tez Tour Latvija.
“I have flown with it several times, and as a passenger I can assure that the spacious interior, comfortable seats and improved seat pitch, as well as the mood lights and monitors with route information make the flight more pleasant.”
He added: “We have chosen the CS300 also because it boasts lower fuel consumption, which in comparison with other aircraft of this type, is substantially lower. This means that the final price for the journey will be more competitive. In particular, it will result in long-distance flights.”
