This year’s Copenhagen Cooking and Food Festival looks to future
Around 80,000 people are expected to converge on the Danish capital next month when the Copenhagen Cooking and Food Festival returns to the city. And two of the world’s top female chefs are top of the bill.
Anne Sophie-Pic from Restaurant Maison Pic is the first woman chef in France to earn three Michelin stars, while Dominique Crenn is the highest ranked female chef in the US, who runs the two-star Restaurant Atelier.
They will join Rasmus Kofoed from Geranium, which was awarded three stars in the Michelin Guide for Nordic Cities 2017, to prepare a meal for guests on August 20.
The festival is an increasingly sought-after event, spurred on by the worldwide popularity and influence of New Nordic cuisine.
A star-studded line-up of practitioners of the culinary arts will be at the festival, whose theme this year is ‘Breaking the New’, including topics like sustainability and the next generation of chefs and entrepreneurs.
