Waldorf Astoria Bangkok to open in centre of Thai capital in 2015

Hilton Worldwide has announced this week a new management deal to take the Waldorf Astoria brand into Southeast Asia for the first time. The agreement, signed with Magnolia Finest Corporation Limited, plans for the 170-room Waldorf Astoria Bangkok to open on Ratchadamri Road in the centre of the Thai capital in 2015. Facilities will include three restaurants, two bars, two ballrooms, nine meeting rooms, fitness centre, spa and outdoor pool. The 170 rooms, including 34 suites, will have a minimum size of 50m². Hilton Worldwide has been in Thailand since 1983 and the announcement marks the entry of its fourth brand in Thailand.
John Vanderslice, head of luxury and lifestyle brands at Hilton Worldwide: “The Waldorf Astoria name is synonymous with timeless luxury and sophistication, and guests to the Waldorf Astoria Bangkok can expect a truly luxurious experience, with the highest level of service and comfort, in spectacular and tranquil surroundings.”
