Over the next ten days, the finalists will undergo a range of skill-tests and interviews as they compete for one of the highly-coveted roles on offer.

Virgin Australia Chief Customer Officer Mark Hassell said, “We remain committed to being the best customer led organisation in Australia and we will continue to think outside of the box to take our service standards to the next level.
“The role of High Flyer will allow us to gather rich insights, trends and new ideas in service from right across Australia to expand and enhance our own service offering. It will also give us a unique avenue to inspire local and international visitors looking for world-class service experiences when in Australia. The successful candidate will travel across the country experiencing the best each state and territory has to offer then sharing these interesting insights with us and the world.
“We are looking forward to welcoming one of the 18 finalists into the Virgin Australia team. We hire for personality then teach our people the skills to be exceptional in their role. They will have a passion for great service, and their experiences over the next six months will ensure that visitors to our shores can uncover the best of Australian service both on the ground and in the air.” Mr Hassell said.
Tourism Australia’s Executive General Manager Consumer Marketing Nick Baker said, “The quality of the ‘Best Jobs’ talent pool made up by these 18 finalists is outstanding and I have little doubt that Virgin Australia will end up with the right High Flyer to fill this exciting role.
“With Virgin Australia’s extensive domestic network, the successful candidate is going to get a fantastic opportunity to explore our great country, showcasing and championing the operators, quality experiences and great hospitality which sets Australia apart as one of the world’s most unique and desirable holiday destinations,” he said.
The winner of the seventh job will be announced on 21 June at a special Tourism Australia event at the New South Wales Art Gallery.
