The year 2016 will be very important and memorable for Lithuanian airports as well as for the Lithuanian aviation industry and the entire country. For the first time, European aviation experts will gather in Vilnius to discuss the challenges regional airports are facing, and they will visit our beautiful Lithuania too.
250 delegates from Europe’s regional airports – CEOs, CCOs, CFOs, ACI Europe‘s Board members, Executive Directors, Aviation Managers will gather at ACI EUROPE‘s Regional Airports‘ Conference and Exhibition on 11-13 May 2016.
“To familiarize our colleagues with Lithuania in advance, we chose the topic of myths and approached wittily the rumours circulating about our country and people. I am glad those, who have seen the video, memorized it and now are eager to taste the pink soup”, said Gediminas Almantas, CEO at Lithuanian Airports.
Next year‘s topic of the conference will be Europe’s Regional Airports: Efficient Co-operation to Enhance a Sustainable Passenger Experience. As Olivier Jankovec, Director General of ACI EUROPE, noted, “Aviation is always pushing forward, so airports need to keep an eye on the horizon line to find answers to tomorrow’s questions: As the number of new routes opening per year is in decline, how can I stay relevant? Which emerging non-aeronautical revenue streams are the most promising, long term? How can I foster more partnerships with key stakeholders in my region? How should I approach smarter compliance, to stay ahead of smart regulation?“ These and other important topics will be discussed at the conference in Vilnius.
