Convention bureau unveils new brand aimed at meetings industry
Vilnius Convention Bureau has created a new look, targeted at the meetings industry. The bureau is the official destination marketing organisation working to attract new international meetings to the city. Upcoming events in the Lithuanian capital include the 12th World Congress on Environmental Health (600 people), the 25th European Conference on Operational Research (1500 people) and the IT innovation meeting LOGIN 2012 (2000 people).
With the new branding of its image and website (vilnius-convention.lt), the bureau says it is aiming to raise its profile especially in Scandinavia, Northern Europe and Eastern Europe. The idea behind the slogan Vilnius Open is to “reflect the city’s open-minded, vibrant and welcoming environment that meets all the criteria as a host city for major events”.
“Vilnius has undergone tremendous changes in the last few years and continues to evolve,” said Jolanta Beniuliene, the Vilnius Convention Bureau’s director. “The expansion of our hospitality sector, continued investment in the city’s infrastructure and transport networks gave us a boost to develop our services and embark on the promotional identity of Vilnius Convention Bureau.”
