Vilnius Airport has already welcomed two million passengers

On 26 November, Vilnius International Airport (VIA) welcomed its second millionth passenger. He arrived at the Airport at 11:20 a.m. from Copenhagen by SAS (Scandinavian Airlines) flight No. SK 744.

‘We are very happy that this year Vilnius Airport has reached the milestone of two million passengers by the flight of our company. We congratulate all passengers of the flight from Copenhagen to Vilnius Airport, which keeps growing passenger flows successfully,’ Ruta Juciene, Head of the Representative Office of SAS in Lithuania, congratulated VIA on its jubilee passenger.

It is the second time VIA welcomes two million passengers in a year. The first time VIA surpassed the milestone of two million passengers was on 18 December 2008, and the first millionth passenger was serviced by VIA on 1 October 2005. 

In the period from January to October of this year, Vilnius Airport serviced 1.85 million passengers, i.e. by 28.39 per cent more than in the same period in 2011.
