Two new openings bring Steigenberger Hotels and Resorts up to 60 properties

Steigenberger Hotel Stadt Lörrach opened on June 1
Deutsche Hospitality and RIMC Hotels & Resorts are strengthening their presence on the German market by opening the Steigenberger Hotel Stadt Lörrach on June 1. The hotel is set at the very heart of the town of Lörrach, which is located just five kilometers from the famous tri-point where the borders of Germany, France and Switzerland meet. The hotel is a four-star property with 178 rooms and suites, extending over 20 floors. It houses a restaurant and bar to cater to the culinary well-being of guests, a 600 square metre conference area, a gym and a sauna with panoramic views.
New Luxury Beach Resort in Egypt opened on June 13
The newly built five-star resort, Steigenberger Alcazar-Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt, opened for business on June 13. It is located in the Nabq Bay directly on the Red Sea coast, and accommodates 610 luxurious rooms being at least 46 square metre in size. 99 of the rooms are swim up rooms with direct access to the pool, andtwelve Junior Suites and two villas are equipped with private pools. Outside, the expansive gardens contain three public pools and two for kids, while guests can also enjoy the exclusive use of a private beach. For divers and snorkelers, the diverse underwater world surrounding the Sinai Peninsula forms the ideal place. The hotel further offers numerous sporting facilities, as well as a spa and a gym. Five à la carte restaurants and several bars cater to all the guests’ culinary needs. A modern conferencing area is able to stage meetings and events of every kind. Via the hotel’s dedicated shuttle bus service, the Sharm El Sheikh Airport can be accessed in only ten minutes.
Renovation of the Europäischer Hof Baden-Baden hotel has started
The first ever founded hotel of Steigenberger Hotels AG, the Europäischer Hof Baden-Baden, is currently undergoing extensive renovation and conversion works. On June 6, a ceremonial laying of the foundation stone for the new build of the hotel’s Luise Wing took place. This part of the building will, when complete, house an elegant arcade of shops, 45 rooms and suites, and a roof top glass pavilion with a terrace. The hotel’s inner courtyard will also be redesigned to expose the main historic building in all its glory. Once the renovation is finalized, the Europäischer Hof will provide a total of 122 rooms and four conference rooms. There will also be several bars and restaurants, as well as a spa and a gym area extending over an area of approximately 900 square metre. The Europäischer Hof Baden-Baden hotel will, at its scheduled reopening in 2019, emerge as a modern and innovative hotel while also remain true to its original character by exuding luxury and tradition.
