Chartered bus was carrying 30 Norwegian passengers
A chartered bus carrying around 30 Norwegian passengers has crashed on a mountain road in the municipality of Balsfjord in northern Norway. Two men are reported to have died and seven people were injured when the bus veered off the E6 highway. It was travelling en route from Murmansk in northern Russia to the Norwegian town of Finnsnes. The bus was operated by the Finnsnes-based company Cominor.
One of the injured was transported by helicopter to the University Hospital of North Norway in Tromsø, while the other six were taken there by ambulance. A police spokesman said it was “too early to say anything about their condition.”
