Two-day BA strike next week

BA to “ensure all customers travel to their destinations”
British Airways cabin crew have rejected a new pay offer and say they will strike from January 10 for 48 hours. However, BA vows to “ensure that all our customers travel to their destinations”, adding that it will publish information for passengers on January 6.
Strikes planned for Christmas were postponed so that the offer could be considered, but members of the Unite union rejected it by 7-1.
The strike affects around 4,000 ‘mixed fleet’ employees who started work from 2010 and do not believe they are paid enough. Accounting for 15% of the total numbers of cabin crew, about 2,500 of them are Unite members.
“We are extremely disappointed that Unite has once again chosen to target our customers,” BA said. “We are now focused on protecting our customers from this unnecessary and completely unjustified action.”
