Trading suspended this morning at Nasdaq OMX
Trading in SAS shares was suspended this morning at the Nasdaq OMX. SAS says it does not want to comment further but that it will send out a press release later in the day. Trade in SAS shares was stopped immediately before the opening of the stock exchanges in Stockholm and Copenhagen.
“We have no comment, but will soon send out an exchange of information,” Sture Stolen, investor relations manager at SAS, said in an email to the Swedish business news portal di.se.
According to di.se, it was Nasdaq OMX that stepped on the brakes and stopped trading.
“The context is the information about the company’s financial situation that in recent days has been circulating in the media,” Carl Norell, Nasdaq OMX’s press officer, said.
Nasdaq OMX has demanded that SAS provides information to the markets before trade in the stock can be resumed.
