Swedish minister on bomb hoax plane

Defence minister rushed off plane in Luleå
Sweden’s defence minister was a passenger on a plane in Luleå evacuated because of a bomb threat that turned out to be a hoax, press reports say.
The plane was about to take off from the northern town when it was halted on the tarmac. The minister, Peter Hultqvist, was quickly escorted off the plane. The other passengers were then also taken off.
A police investigator later confirmed Hultqvist was booked on the flight, although the Swedish government refused to say if this was the case.
“We don’t disclose schedules or any details of our travel arrangements,” said Marinette Nyh Radebo, a defence ministry spokesperson.
Police said they were responding to a threat made by phone at Luleå Airport and had reacted out of caution. An investigator said: “It’s a youthful voice anyway. They interpreted it as a quote ‘prank call’, it sounded like a guy but we don’t know for sure.”
