Airport operator says they are equivalent to cigarettes
Swedish airport operator Swedavia says it considers electronic cigarettes to be equivalent to traditional cigarettes and is introducing a ban on them at airports. The ban applies to employees as well as passengers and other customers.
Swedavia clarifies that it now considers all types of e-cigarettes that contain nicotine and tobacco to be equivalent to regular cigarettes. This means smoking e-cigarettes indoors is no longer permitted – as well as outside where smoking is not permitted.
