The number of passengers at Swedavia’s airports was up eight per cent in July compared to the same month in 2013. A total of 3.1 million passengers departed from or arrived at one of the Group’s ten airports, which is an increase of just over 200,000 people.
Despite warm weather in Sweden, there continues to be a growing need for international air connections in particular. A total of 3.1 million passengers flew via one of Swedavia’s airports in July, which corresponds to an increase of eight per cent. The number of international passengers increased nine per cent, while the number of domestic passengers rose four per cent.
The overall increase in passenger volume in 2014 is eight per cent, which also reflects the sharpest growth in international passenger volume, nine per cent, while domestic passenger volume was up seven per cent.
The number of landings in scheduled and chartered operations at Swedavia’s airports so far this year is up four per cent, at 117,200, compared to the period January-July 2013.
