Flight cancellations possible in public sector strike
A 24-hour strike is likely to hit air traffic in France, forcing airlines to cancel services. Flights to, from and within France face disruption heavy tomorrow as public sector workers including air traffic controllers plan to walk out.
France’s Directorate General for Civil Aviation is meeting today, after which airlines will be advised on whether flights will have to be cancelled.
The air navigation organisation Eurocontrol is warning that the strike will go ahead. Further updates on the situation are expected and airlines are advising passengers to check their websites before travelling to the airport.
