Strike at German airports this week

Walkout to hit major airports on Wednesday
Employees at a number of airports in Germany will strike on April 27. The strike will hit flights to and from Frankfurt, Munich, Dusseldorf, Cologne/Bonn, Dortmund and Hanover, the union Verdi says.
Verdi is demanding a 6% wage increase for its 2.14 million workers.
“We are announcing the strikes at such an early stage so that passengers can adjust and reschedule their travel,” the union’s press spokeswoman Christine Behle said.
In Frankfurt, ground services, check-in, shops, aviation security and fire service will strike until around 15:00 local time.
