Streetlight falls on tourists’ heads in Tallinn

Tourist bus backs into Tallinn Old Town streetlight

Three tourists from the United States were rushed to a hospital in Tallinn when a lamppost fell on them, ERR News reports. It was 09:00 in the morning when a tourist bus dropping passengers off in the upper district of the Old Town known as Toompea reversed into a streetlight. This pushed it so that it fell onto the pavement where the unfortunate tourists were waiting, according to a press release from the local police. Two of the city guests reportedly suffered head injuries – one of them severely – and the third suffered a leg injury.
The injured tourists – two women and one man – were from a cruise ship docked in the port of the popular Estonian capital for the day. They were part of a walking tour of 30 people.
