Ship gets intensive fumigation before embarking again
Around 170 of the 1,176 passengers and crew on board Boudicca, a ship operated by Oslo-based cruise line Fred. Olsen, have been taken ill during a 13-night cruise to the Canary Islands and Portugal. The Norovirus-like outbreak resulted in the ship undergoing an intensive fumigation before embarking on its next voyage, 90 minutes later than scheduled. Fred. Olsen told Cruise Critic that no more than 35 people had been “in isolation at any one time”.
A suspected Norovirus outbreak struck Boudicca in spring 2010.
