European hotel industry rates up 19% in September, Stockholm up 11%

European hotel industry rates for double rooms have risen by an average of 19% in September, compared to August, to an average of almost €135, according to Trivago.co.uk. But these are still among the highest rates on the continent, beaten by Geneva (up 34% to €294) and Venice (up 43% to €282). Those in London and Paris are also high.
Comparing country by country, Norway and Sweden have the second and third highest rates in Europe (€173 and €171, respectively), beaten only by Switzerland (€244). In comparison to last month, the hotel prices in Belgium (up 40%), Germany (up 30%) and Turkey (up 28%) have risen the most since August.
