Stockholm gallery restaurant up for award

One of three nominees for museum restaurant of the year
One of Stockholm’s trendiest art galleries is one of three nominees worldwide up for an unusual award – museum restaurant of the year.
Fotografiska, the city’s biggest space for photography exhibitions, opened just six years ago but is already one of the Swedish capital’s most popular cultural destinations.
With innovative dishes prepared by celebrity chef Paul Svensson the gallery’s cool, eco-friendly restaurant is also an attraction, with one of the best views of the city.
Set within a former industrial Art Nouveau structure built in 1906, on ‘hipster’ island Södermalm, the eatery is in the running for the Museum Restaurant of the Year category of the 2016 Leading Culture Destination Awards.
The other restaurants nominated are Ammo at The Hammer in Los Angeles and Loulou at Musée des Arts Decoratifs, Paris. The winner will be revealed at a ceremony in London on September 30.
