New shopping zone brings in additional exclusive brands
Swedish airport operator Swedavia will soon open an exclusive new shopping thoroughfare with well-known brands such as Ralph Lauren, Hugo Boss and Rituals, as part of an overall investment of SEK 7 billion (€744 million) in Stockholm Arlanda Airport over the next ten years.
The new shopping area will open at Stockholm Arlanda in mid-March 2015, where passengers will be able to find brands such as Ralph Lauren, Hugo Boss, Longchamps, Swarovski and Rituals.
Clothing brand Superdry will open its first shop in Sweden at the airport, while the American beauty care brand Bath & Body Works will open its first European outlet there.
“We want to offer our passengers the best start to their trip,” says Magnus Ros, director of commercial services at Swedavia. “So we continue to develop a unique marketplace with strong, exclusive brands that enables passengers to shop for brands that are not available in that many other places in Sweden.”
The new shopping zone will be located in Terminal 5, and after the refurbishment all the shops will be designed based on each brand’s individual identity and concept. Retailers such as Victoria’s Secret and Michael Kors have already set up shops there, as well as a large tax-free shop, Designtorget, Capi Electronics and fashion shops such as Eton, Stenströms, Filippa K, Hunky Dory, Malene Birger, Tiger of Sweden, Gant, Tommy Hilfiger, Moschino, DKNY and Campomaggio.
