Union voted in favour of four strikes during busy month
Spanish air traffic controllers have voted in favour of holding four strikes during the busy month of June, which could disrupt flights to and from Spain and through its airspace during the period.
The union USCA looks set to strike on June 8, 10, 12 and 14 for two hours each morning and afternoon. A similar strike in 2010 called travel chaos and led to the government issuing a “state of alert”.
TTG Digital points out that any industrial action could hit industry delegates heading to a conference of the Association of Independent Tour Operators in Cordoba, which takes place between June 11 and 14.
