Silversea launches redesigned website and new visual identity

Ultra-luxury Silversea Cruises has introduced a new, redesigned website, www.Silversea.com. Providing an enhanced user experience designed to inspire travellers, the refreshed site is supported with improved navigation, optimisation for mobile devices — and the first glimpse of Silversea’s new visual identity.

Guests and travel agents will see changes also in the line’s brochures and other marketing materials as the new visual branding initiative rolls out over the coming weeks. These include new logo elements, tone of voice, and inspiring imagery. The new look leverages key colours to convey a sense of indulgence and adventure. Black-and-white photography evokes savoured memories, while creative use of photographic views illuminates the remoteness of certain destinations, and brings guests closer to unique experiences.

“As with our new visual identity, we wanted our website’s new design to reflect the uniqueness of the Silversea luxury cruise experience,” said Thomas Harrison, Nordic Sales Director for Silversea Cruises. “Each page invites travellers to explore the world in a more meaningful way onboard intimate boutique ships, renowned for their all-inclusiveness, personalised service, and tailor-made tours ashore.”

A key attribute of the new website is the integration of information on expedition cruises with the line’s classic luxury cruises. Unlike the previous site design, which featured Silversea Expeditions on a microsite, visitors can now easily search for information across both products at once. Throughout the site, the Silversea Expeditions company name is highlighted in a bold red font to distinguish the expedition voyages from the line’s traditional cruises.

Another enhancement is the site’s responsive design, making it visually attractive and suited for any screen. Silversea’s new website caters to today’s connected travellers who access information across multiple devices, including desktops, tablets, and smartphones.

Whether at home or on the go, visitors can now readily navigate the new site by clicking on tabs that offer information on destinations, ships, services, enrichment programs (e.g., culinary and wine cruises, etc.), exclusive offers, and more.

800 destinations on 7 continents

Silversea’s eight luxury vessels sail on all 7 continents and visit more than 800 destinations every year. The intimate ships carry between 100 and 580 guests and are renowned for their welcoming atmosphere, all-inclusive lifestyle, world-class restaurants and incomparable service, including butler service for all guests.

The new 180-page Silversea Cruises brochure is devoted to the elegant voyages undertaken by Silver Spirit, Silver Cloud, Silver Wind, Silver Shadow, and Silver Whisper. The 140-page Silversea Expeditions guide highlights the extraordinary itineraries of Silver Explorer, Silver Galapagos and Silver Discoverer, which include rarely-visited destinations like Antarctica, the Russian Far East and the Galapagos Islands.
