The Scandinavian business travellers’ agree. It’s Lufthansa who they want as an owner to the airline SAS, whether they are Danish, Norwegian or Swedish.
No other airline comes even close. In Resegeometri’s Nordic independent airline measurement 2011, an entire 51% of Scandinavian business travellers consider that Lufthansa is the obvious choice if SAS would change ownership.
There are mainly three reasons why the business travel customers would prefer Lufthansa to be the owner, says Vice President Jan Borg at Resegeometri Nordic AB. Lufthansa is considered the best guarantee of development in line with Scandinavian interests and needs, they are considered to have the best travel alternatives in terms of destinations and schedule, and are considered to offer the best service and quality. 15% of business travellers prefer that the government in each country should continue their ownership in SAS in order to secure the region’s interests; 10% believe that AirFrance/KLM would be the best owner, 8% British Airways and 6% Finnair.
Facts about Resegeometri and Nordic Business Travel Barometer
The Nordic Business Travel Barometer has been an annually independent study of the Nordic business travel industry since 2006. The survey is addressed to decision-makers and business travellers at companies with more than 50 employees, and is implemented by the market research and analyzing company Resegeometri Nordic AB in cooperation with Quicksearch Sweden AB.
Resegeometri’s business focus is on the Nordic travel industry and Quicksearch has a broader industry perspective carrying out among other things both customer and employee surveys among a large number of Swedish companies – so-called Feedback Management.
