Jonas Granström appointed new VP Technical Services
Jonas Granström has been appointed as Scandic Hotels’ new Vice President Technical Services from November 5. He will be in charge of the group’s technical maintenance and development of the chain’s 160 hotels in nine countries. His professional background is from the multinational construction and development company Skanska, where his last assignment was as CEO of Skanska Nya Hem AB. He graduated in engineering at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, specialising in infrastructure project and development.
Scandic Hotels says it is continuing to expand by adding new hotels to its portfolio. In 2012-13, Scandic is opening seven new hotels while also investing more than SEK 500 million (€58.5 million) in refurbishing existing hotels. Granström’s new role makes him responsible for a range of projects covering the technical development of new hotels as well as major refurbishments.
