SAS launches Oslo-Gotland

New summertime route to have two flights a week
SAS will launch a new summertime route on June 24 between Oslo and Visby on the Swedish island of Gotland, with two flights a week until August 12.
The direct route from the Norwegian capital will be flown with a “brand new Bombardier CRJ-900 aircraft”, the airline says, with capacity for 88 passengers.
It will complement a route between Stockholm and Visby, which SAS flies daily with up to six daily departures from the Swedish capital in summer.
“Gotland is a popular destination for all Scandinavians, so we are very pleased to offer our passengers an efficient direct route to this holiday gem”, says Eivind Roald, SAS commercial director.
Gunnar Jonasson, manager of Visby Airport, added: “We are delighted to welcome more Norwegian visitors who can now fly directly to Visby. The new direct line is largely a result of successful cooperation in the region to meet demand from an important group of visitors.”
