Apollo able to offer flights from big and regional Nordic airports
SAS and one of the Nordic region’s biggest tour operators, Apollo Travel Group, announced this morning that they had extended their cooperation on charter flights for another year, signing a deal for the 2016 summer season worth around SEK 900 million (€96.3 million).
As a result, the airline will be flying Apollo customers from 18 locations in Sweden, Norway and Denmark to 28 destinations across Europe. The partnership between the two companies has continued now for about 15 years.
Apollo is choosing SAS as its main external flight partner to complement its own airline, Novair. Thanks to what SAS says is its “flexible fleet”, Apollo is able to offer direct flights both from major cities and from regional airports across Scandinavia.
“We have enjoyed a long and successful cooperation with SAS and we know that they deliver a high-quality product with good punctuality, which is important [for] Apollo’s customers,” said Apollo’s chief executive Leif Vase Larsen. “Our partnership […] also gives us a great deal of flexibility, which is something we value highly.”
