Ryanair says first-half profit up 10%

Passenger traffic up 7% to 48 million in H1

With traffic up by 7% to 48 million passengers, Ryanair said this morning that it had posted an after-tax profit of €596 million for the first half of 2012, up 10% on the same period last year. Known for its budget-priced tickets and ancillary revenues, the company nevertheless added that its fares had increased by 6% on average.
