This year the popular opinion website has awarded RIU with 54 Certificates of Excellence and 17 Travelers’ Choice Awards
A total of 34 RIU Hotels & Resorts hotels have been inducted into the Hall of Fame created by TripAdvisor, considered to be the world’s most important website for tourist reviews. The distinction of forming a part of the very first Hall of Fame recognizes the accomplishment of certificates of excellence over five consecutive years. The 34 RIU hotels that join this select group are located in 10 countries: Spain, Portugal, Cabo Verde, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Morocco, Tunisia, Turkey and Panama.
On top of this achievement, TripAdvisor has given 54 RIU hotels the 2015 Certificate of Excellence. These certificates recognize excellence in the hospitality industry and are only granted to those places that consistently achieve very positive opinions from guests. The RIU hotels that have managed to achieve these awards are located in 12 countries: Spain, Portugal, Cabo Verde, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Morocco, Tunisia, Turkey, Panama, Bulgaria and Costa Rica. Among those who have received certificates is the Riu San Francisco (Mallorca, Spain) which, after a recent refurbishment, has found a place among TripAdvisor users’ favorite hotels.
As well as these accolades, at the beginning of this year TripAdvisor gave RIU 17 Travelers’ Choice Awards. These awards are for the excellent service that the Spanish hotel chain offers in counties like Tunisia, Morocco, Panama and Bulgaria. In Tunisia, hotels such as the Riu Palace Oceana Hammamet and the Riu Imperial Marhaba stand out for receiving awards in the categories of ‘Customer Service’, ‘Luxury’, ‘Most Romantic Hotel’ and ‘Best Hotel’. The Riu Plaza urban hotels also feature in the awards, with the Riu Plaza Panama (Panama City), one of the chain’s flagship hotels, receiving recognition. In the near future, RIU will open two new urban hotels in Berlin and New York.
