Regal Airport Hotel Hong Kong has been voted Best Airport Hotel in the World for the eighth year running by influential UK magazine Business Traveller.
The award was presented by writer, entertainer and former MP Gyles Brandreth at the Business Traveller Awards 2015 on October 12, held at the Royal Garden Hotel in London.
Commenting on the award, John Girard, General Manager of Regal Airport Hotel and Vice President, Development at Regal Hotels, said: “We are delighted to have scooped this accolade for the eighth straight year.
Winning awards is always an honour for our team and retaining this particular title is special! It’s not only a testament to the consistency of our service delivery, but also to the ceaseless and unstinting efforts in continuously raising the bar and staying ahead of some very respectable competition. Our unique proximity to the airport, seamless connection right to the plane ramps, offers all our customers a very special arrival. We not only meet and greet our guests inside the airport lounges and offer fast track boarding but also jetlag-busting massages at our luxurious OM Spa, setting us apart from other hotels at Hong Kong’s International Airport.”
As Girard noted, the award tops a great year for Regal which has seen the company open its second airport hotel, the Regal Airport Hotel Xi’an in China. Like its sister property in Hong Kong the Regal Airport Hotel Xi’an, the only hotel directly connected to Xi’an Xianyang Airport via a covered walkway, is backed by a luxury OM spa and a comprehensive MICE offering, including a range of Executive Club Lounges and a choice of three ballrooms.
Regal currently operates a portfolio of 15 hotels with a further nine set to open in its core destination markets of Hong Kong and mainland China by the end of 2016.
