Peter Andre and his kids, Junior and Princess, will now be able to wing their way direct to New York from their doorstep as British Airways flights from Gatwick to JFK start Sunday May 1.
Wearing a New York City t-shirt á la John Lennon, singer and TV personality, Peter, 43, and his two children, Junior, 10 and Princess, eight, went ‘all out American’ for the photoshoot at Gatwick Airport.
Like the Andres, British Airways customers can travel in style to the city that never sleeps from less than £400 return and flights include a generous free checked baggage allowance, free online check-in, food, drink and seat allocation and complimentary in-flight entertainment on board.
Peter, who lives in East Grinstead, which is just 10 miles from Gatwick Airport, said: “New York is one of my favourite places to visit and the kids absolutely love it so the fact that we can get there even quicker and fly British Airways from Gatwick is such a bonus.
“I know Emily loves the city too as the shopping is amazing and the restaurants are some of the best in the world so hopefully this year we’ll be able to squeeze in a romantic long weekend there too!”
Lynne Embleton, British Airways’ managing director at Gatwick said: “The new route from Gatwick to New York’s JFK airport will make British Airways the only airline to offer flights to New York from all three London airports, giving our customers maximum choice and flexibility.
“New York is British Airways’ flagship Atlantic route and will always be one of the most popular destinations for holidaymakers and business travellers alike.
“The new route also complements our almost hourly service from Heathrow, thanks to our transatlantic Joint Business with American Airlines. Customers can choose from 13 daily British Airways flights and another three on American Airlines to New York, as well as our double-daily business class only service from London City.”
Customers can travel on a three-cabin Boeing 777, offering a choice of 40 seats in Club World, 24 in World Traveller Plus and 216 in World Traveller.
Flying on British Airways customers can enjoy more than 1,300 hours of programmes, films and music, which includes audio books for language learning, as well as TV box sets and the very latest movie blockbusters on the airline’s High Life entertainment system.
