“I started eating and thought this tastes quite strange”

An Australian woman got a nasty shock on a Qantas flight from Los Angeles to Melbourne this week when she discovered something wriggling in her packaged inflight snack. Victoria Cleven, 42, said that she had started munching on a mix of nuts and raisins she had been given by the cabin staff when she noticed a funny taste.
“I started eating and thought this tastes quite strange, what am I actually eating?” she told the Melbourne-based news station 7News. “When I turned the light on and looked down I saw white stringy bits. Then I saw maggots crawling inside the pack.”
The food came from the Sydney Biscuit Company. The quick-thinking passenger then filmed the package and posted a short video on YouTube with the title “Qantas maggots in trail mix”.
