Orlando resort expands Harry Potter park

Diagon Alley area to include rides on Hogwarts Express

A popular “theme park within a theme park”, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at the Universal Orlando Resort in Florida is capitalising on its success by bringing in more new attractions from the famous books and films.
Diagon Alley is scheduled to open in the theme park in 2014, bringing to life some of the experiences and places found in and around the London of Harry Potter, including rides on the Hogwarts Express.
These will be located next door to Universal’s Islands of Adventure theme park, where existing Hogwarts and Hogsmeade experiences can be found. Guests will be able to travel between the two areas on the Hogwarts Express. The new zone will feature shops, restaurants and an attraction based on Gringotts Bank, which is run by goblins.
Original author JK Rowling said that she was “sure that the attention to detail in creating the new Diagon Alley area will make this an even better experience.”
