Carrier will also accept cash payments for other items
Reacting to negative press regarding its earlier refusal to give passengers water, food, or blankets on long-haul flights if passengers have only cash or the wrong credit cards to pay for them, Norwegian now says it will serve free drinking water on long-haul flights. It will also accept cash payments for food and other items.
“Of course, we’re very concerned about the well-being of our passengers,” airline spokesman Lasse Sandaker-Nielsen told the AFP news agency.
The changes will not affect short and medium-haul routes, on which Norwegian will continue to require credit cards.
