Carrier furthers “exciting destinations” with Oslo-Longyearbyen
Norwegian says it is continuing to launch routes to “exciting destinations” with a new direct route between Oslo Gardermoen and Svalbard Longyearbyen. It will offer three weekly flights from 1 March 2013, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Norway’s Svalbard, described as the northernmost inhabited place in the world, is an archipelago of glaciers, mountains, craggy landscapes, deep fjords and polar bears. Norwegian says it is because of huge demand from passengers wanting to visit the islands that it has decided to launch the route. Tickets will go on sale on Thursday October 4.
