Low-cost carrier signs deal to lease two more 787s
Norwegian will continue to seek more 787 Dreamliners for its long-haul fleet, it made clear after signing a deal to lease two aircraft from 2018.
The low-cost carrier currently has 10 Boeing 787s in operation and 32 on order following the latest leasing deal, with CIT Aerospace, plus options to buy a further 10 from Boeing, Reuters reports.
“It’s no secret that we are still looking for new Dreamliners and this leasing agreement shows that it is possible to achieve,” airline spokeswoman Anne-Sissel Skaanvik said.
“A larger Dreamliner fleet will make us even more competitive and better positioned for growth.”
