Norwegian flies over 2 million in one month

Carrier sees “highest ever passenger figure” for month

Norwegian’s latest reported passenger records, for July, released today, show that for the first time more than 2 million customers flew with the airline in a single month.

The airline carried 2,128,835 passengers during the month, an increase of 17% compared to July 2012. The load factor was reported as 86%, down 1 percentage point from the previous July.

The airline says that the traffic figures were influenced by the good July weather in the Nordic region, contributing to less demand for travel to the Mediterranean. Total passenger traffic (RPK) increased by 29% and the total capacity (ASK) increased by 30%.
