Thomas Harrison, Silversea Cruises’ Director of Sales for Nordic, Benelux, Middle East and South Africa, has found new career opportunities and will be leaving the ultra-luxury cruise line by the end of the year.
Tina Kirfel, Silversea’s General Manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, says: “The last 5 years Thomas was responsible as Director of Sales for Nordic, Benelux, Middle East & Africa building up these markets which he managed very successfully. On behalf of our management team, I would like to thank him for all his dedication and enthusiasm in all of his work over this time.”
Thomas Harrison began his career with Silversea as a bartender but later joined the London office where he was one of the key persons responsible for Silversea’s success in the international markets served from the UK. Thomas soon took charge of the sales development in the Nordic Markets, where he brought Silversea to become a highly recognized brand.
“Cruising has always been a great passion of mine and throughout my years with Silversea I have enjoyed establishing the relationships, which has helped cementing Silversea’s high position in the luxury travel arena. Having been part of Silversea since inception it has been great to see the achievements reached and I appreciate the support given from all sides. I now look forward to the new challenges lying ahead in the New Year,” Thomas Harrison added.
Atlantic Link will continue as Silversea Cruises’ PR representative in Scandinavia and Finland handling all public relations activities in the region. Until a replacement for the Nordics has been found, all sales and marketing activities will be taken care of by Julia Wiencke based at Silversea’s office in Frankfurt.
Karin Gert Nielsen, Managing Director for Atlantic Link, says: “We have had a great collaboration with Thomas and wish him all the best for his future endeavours.”
