Nordic Aviation Capital to buy Irish competitor
Aircraft leasing company Nordic Aviation Capital revealed on Friday that it had agreed to buy Irish competitor Aldus Aviation, which manages a fleet of 30 jets. No financial details have been disclosed.
Based in Billund, Denmark, Nordic Aviation Capital is the world’s biggest turboprop lessor. It recently announced it would expand into regional jet leasing with the purchase of another leasing company Jetscape.
Following the new takeover, NAC’s combined fleet will be 294, with a further 48 managed. On top of that, it has ordered a further 74 aircraft. A private equity firm, EQT, bought a majority stake in Nordic Aviation Capital last August.
