The main door in the cabin of a Canadair CL60 aircraft is reported to have fallen off the plane, crashing onto a golf course in Hallandale Beach in Florida. The aircraft had just taken off from Opa-locka Airport in Miami heading towards Pompano Beach, Florida, with just the two pilots on board when the door fell off. It was diverted to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and landed safely.
Fortunately, no one was on the ground close to where the door impacted. The US Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.
