Thieves target carousel airport luggage

Impoverished couple steal on at least five separate occasions

A couple have been charged with stealing luggage from carousels at airports in Florida, on at least five separate occasions. Sean Maxwell, 44, posed as a well-dressed traveller and took other people’s bags using a pushcart, while his wife Lorina Flint, 42, waited in a car outside. The thefts, which have taken place since March, occurred at Miami International Airport and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. They were captured on camera and police caught the couple red-handed as they were about to drive away.
The court heard that the couple, who married in 1999, have eight children and cannot afford a lawyer.
