Flyglinjen to expand in Sweden and Finland

Estonian airline Avies speaks at Routes Europe in Tallinn

The Estonian airline Avies says it wants to expand in Finland and Sweden, the Estonian daily newspaper Postimees reports. The paper spoke to the carrier’s representatives at the Routes Europe 2012 conference in Tallinn this week. Smaller cities and towns in Sweden and Finland are of special interest, they said.
Avies already operates in Sweden under the name Flyglinjen, the daily writes, with a route between its base in Jönköping and Stockholm’s Bromma airport using a single Jetstream 32 aircraft. From July 1, it will also launch flights on the routes Jönköping-Visby and Västerås-Visby. It also recently secured a tender to operate flights between mainland Estonia and Kuressaare on the island of Saaremaa.
