Icelandair launches new service from US gateway

Flights between Iceland and Denver to operate four times a week

Icelandair has launched a new service from its newest North American gateway, with non-stop flights between Iceland and Denver International Airport. The route will be operated four times a week. Icelandair reports that it is the first international carrier to initiate a service from Denver International in almost 10 years. A delegation arriving on the first inbound flight from Iceland included Denver Mayor Michael Hancock and Icelandair CEO Birkir Holm Gudnason.
Icelandair recently launched additional flights to London Gatwick and a daily service to London Heathrow. From the US, it offers service to Iceland from Boston, New York-JFK, Seattle and now Denver, with a seasonal service from Washington, D.C., Minneapolis-St. Paul, Orlando Sanford, Halifax and Toronto. Connections are available through the airline’s hub at Keflavik International Airport. Icelandair allows passengers to stopover in Iceland at no additional airfare.
