A meeting on the fringes of the Routes Europe conference, due to be held in Tallinn on May 20-22, will bring together Estonian Air’s top executives and representatives from Singapore, Qatar and Oman, according to the local daily Eesti Päevaleht. They will discuss the possibility of opening new routes between Tallinn and these countries with the aim of attracting more transit passengers travelling between Asia and Europe to fly via Tallinn.
The meeting follows aviation treaties between Estonia and both Singapore and Qatar earlier this year, with a similar agreement under preparation with Oman.
Tero Taskila, CEO of Estonian Air: “We are giving them the possibility to join Estonian Air’s new network of connections. The agreements […] are also increasing the value of Estonian Air among potential investors.”
