During the rushed preparations for take-off of a Ryanair aircraft at Gothenburg City Airport, an air hostess tumbled out of the rear exit of the plane, falling three metres to the ground and suffering a serious head injury. The plane, which was departing for London, was running an hour late and passengers said that all employees were visibly stressed.
It is not clear exactly why the woman fell from the plane, but it is possible that as the plane lurched forwards after boarding she fell on the handle and the door flew open.
“I have never in all my years seen anything like it,” the airport’s CEO, Annika Nyberg, told the news agency TT.
