May 28th, 2012 – Cascada Expediciones has launched a new version of its acclaimed Patagonia United tour.
Just like its predecessor the tour takes travellers through the highlights of Chilean and Argentine Patagonia including Torres del Paine National Park on the Chilean side and Mount Fitz Roy and Perito Moreno on the Argentine side.
The main differences to the tour’s last season version is an extra night in El Calafate (Argentina), Standard domes instead of Suite domes at the National Geographic recommended property EcoCamp Patagonia and regular excursions in small groups with a maximum of 12 travellers throughout Argentina. Upon arrival in Patagonia travellers are driven to the Cascada owned EcoCamp Patagonia in the heart of Torres del Paine, sleeping in cozy Standard domes for three nights and enjoying breakfast and dinner in the welcoming Community domes.
There are two days of trekking excursions (easy and active options each day, check the Wildlife Safari excursion menu for more details) with EcoCamp before heading across the border to Los Glaciares National Park in Argentina. Travellers spend their first two nights in Chalten, gateway to Los Glaciares, exploring the scenic pathways leading to stunning views of Mount Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre. Afterwards they head to El Calafate to spend the 2 last nights, visiting the famous Perito Moreno glacier on their final day. On day 8 the group are driven to El Calafate airport.
