Rural tourism NGO collates information of natural attractions

The Latvian rural tourism association Lauku celotajs has just published its latest guide – to the varied and isolated yet easy-to-navigate national parks of the three Baltic countries. Published in English, “Baltic National Parks Guide” contains information on the 14 national parks’ many natural attractions as well as relevant tourist services in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.
“The publication is unique for the Baltics because of its scope – all national parks are represented – and its focus on tourist services, allowing visitors to experience, enjoy and learn about nature,” the non-profit association says.
The guidebook, which can be viewed at Celotajs.lv, contains descriptions of sites, maps, touring routes for cycling, walking, boating, driving, bird- and animal-watching and plant-spotting, as well as describing the Baltic countries’ natural characteristics and why each national park has been designated as a protected nature area.
