Global and Finnish workshops to be staged just before Matka
The day before Matka, the well-known Nordic travel fair that takes place in Helsinki each year, has been reserved for two events for travel trade professionals. For the upcoming Matka 2013, both are scheduled to take place on January 16 and involve short, one-on-one consultations arranged in advance.
Meet Finland is billed as the most important sales event for Finnish travel, providing an opportunity for destinations to showcase themselves to buyers and tour operators invited from abroad. Along with Meet Finland, the first ever Global Workshop will also be held this year. It provides the international exhibitors at Matka with a new way to meet important business partners, such as tour operators and other professionals providing travel services from Finland and nearby areas, in addition to meeting fair visitors.
This day of business deals will be rounded off with a laidback reception organised at the Helsinki Exhibition & Convention Centre. International buyers at both events also have the possibility to visit Rovaniemi and Ranua or to embark on a day-cruise to Tallinn.
