New flights between Stockholm and Turin

Flights will be on Saturdays for ten weeks from January
For ten weeks from January 2018, ski-loving Swedes will be able to fly to Turin from Stockholm Arlanda with Blue Air. The Romanian carrier has been flying to Turin from Copenhagen since spring this year.
Blue Air says this will simplify travel to Italian ski resorts such as Cervinia, Champoluc and Sestriere as well as the French resorts of Serre Chevalier and La Grave. Turin is also an increasingly popular destination for foodies.
The Italian city is the second destination Blue Air is offering from Stockholm, after launching a direct service to Bucharest last year. Departures to Turin will be on Saturdays from January 20 to March 24.
Blue Air operates more than 100 destinations across Europe, doubling its passengers since 2014 to 3.6 million in 2016 with a fleet of 29 Boeing 737s and another 20 aircraft on order.
“Demand for direct routes to Italy remains strong, which is also reflected in the growth in demand outpacing supply as soon as new routes are launched. Over the past five years, air traffic to Italy, a popular country, has increased by a full 50%,” said Elizabeth Axtelius, aviation business director at Swedavia.
