New Air France organization

Air France is implementing a new organization, which is clearer and better reflects its priorities. Its ambition is to clarify responsibilities and simplify the company’s operating methods.
“Air France’s current organization has enabled us to make progress, particularly in terms of improving customer relations and the quality of our products and services, and this must be continued. However, it also has widely recognized limits and complexities. I have therefore decided to initiate a project to change the organization of Air France, enabling us to drive our Trust Together ambition.
I would like to thank Bruno Delile who has chosen to leave the Group. Bruno Delile has been a driving force of the successful move upmarket in the long-haul sector. I would also like to thank Lionel Guérin who has ensured the recovery of our point-to-point operations, driven by the creation of HOP! Air France. In addition, I would like to thank Eric Schramm, who has been appointed to another position, for his decisive contribution to the safety of Air France flights.
We must move quickly, in line with the staff representative bodies. This new organization will be oriented towards the priorities that I have set together with Jean-Marc Janaillac in order to return to profitable growth: put the customer at the heart of our operations, improve our operational performance and ensure flight safety, improve our in-house working methods through digital technology and simplify our processes, promote staff commitment with a real HR ambition and improve our competitiveness”, declared Franck Terner, CEO of Air France.
The following changes take immediate effect:
Alain-Hervé Bernard is appointed Chief Operating Officer and Accountable Manager. He will replace Eric Schramm in this latter responsibility as from 1 January 2017. Alain-Hervé Bernard will remain in charge of the Medium-Haul Business Unit until the effective implementation of the change of organization. He is responsible for proposing, within one month, an organization that will regroup our operations, including the Paris-CDG hub that must be unified.
In his role as Chief Operating Officer and Accountable Manager, he will have functional responsibility for Flight Operations, In-flight Service and the Cargo division.
He will promote our Operational Performance and Flight Safety priority.
Bruno Delile remains Executive Vice President for the Long-Haul Business Unit until he leaves the company at the end of the year.
Alain Malka is appointed Executive Vice President of HOP! Air France, replacing Lionel Guérin. This appointment takes immediate effect. Alain Malka must continue the recovery of our point-to-point operations.
Anne Rigail is appointed Executive Vice President Customer.
She is responsible for proposing, within one month, a Customer organization which will regroup the functions of customer and product prescription of the current Long and Medium-haul Business Units. She will promote Customer priority, measured in particular by the improvement of the Net Promoter Score (NPS). This appointment will take effect on 1 January 2017.
Gilles Gateau is confirmed in his position of Executive Vice President in charge of Human Resources. As such, he will promote the “HR ambition” priority.
Jérôme Nanty is appointed Executive Vice President Corporate Secretary and Transformation. As such, the Legal, Public Affairs, Sustainable Development and Transformation Divisions will notably all report to him. He will be responsible for the overall coordination of the Trust Together project.
Jérôme Nanty retains his current responsibilities at Group level.
Marc Verspyck is confirmed in his position of Executive Vice President for Finance. As such, he will promote the “improving competitiveness” priority.
Pierre-Olivier Bandet is appointed Executive Vice President Fleet and Scheduling.
He will propose within a month an organization regrouping the scheduling and management of the Air France group fleet. Pierre-Olivier Bandet is also in charge of preparing the implementation of the Boost project by leading the initial working groups. The person in charge of the Boost project, soon to be appointed, will be a member of the Executive Committee.
Gilles Laurent is confirmed in his position of Executive Vice President Flight Operations.
Eric Caron is appointed Executive Vice President In-flight Services, replacing Anne Rigail, as from 1 January 2017.
Elisabeth Hérelier is appointed Executive Vice President Cargo activity, replacing Alain Malka. This appointment takes immediate effect.
Anne Brachet has joined the Air France-KLM group as Executive Vice President Engineering & Maintenance, replacing Franck Terner. She retains her position as Executive Vice President of Air France Industries until she is replaced.
Jean-Charles Tréhan is confirmed in his position as Senior Vice President Communication. He will continue to report to Adeline Challon-Kemoun, Executive Vice President Marketing, Digital and Communication at Air France-KLM, and is a member of the Air France Executive Committee.

Henri de Peyrelongue represents the commercial division on the Executive Committee.
Nicolas Nelson is regularly invited to the Executive Committee, representing the IT function for Air France.
In addition, Air France’s management methods will be strengthened by the setting up of a General Management Committee, made up of:
